Urban ASAK opened up play at the adidas Gauntlet in Mansfield, TX, with a 69-53 victory against So Fly All Stars behind an exceptional effort from Jamal Shead and JaQuai Najamo.
Shead continued his run of strong outings, leading the team with 18 points and racking up assists and steals as he usually does. Many of those assists went to JaQuai Najamo, who had easily his best performance of the summer, converting on eight field goals under the basket for 16 points and providing a lift defensively in the paint and on the glass.
Newcomer Anthony Scott also turned in a nice performance with eight points, while Dillon Gooding scored seven and Braelon Seals added five.
The team plays NTX Ruff Ryderz at 5:15 next.
