After taking a 30-28 lead at halftime, Urban ASAK could not hold on for a win as the team dropped its second game of the tournament to MBA Hoops, 52-49.
Urban ASAK limited MBA Hoops to just 30 percent shooting in the second half, but the shots weren’t falling for them, either. The team defense was impressive as always, forcing 17 turnovers and only allowing one player to score in double figures.
Unfortunately, ASAK could not duplicate its success on the other end of the floor.
Caleb Golden once again led the team in scoring in the absence of Brock Cunningham, shooting 4-13 for 11 points and three rebounds. Kiron Griffin stepped up with nine points, six rebounds and four assists in a well-rounded effort.
Darius McBride and Tyrone Perry each added eight points, and Jayden Martinez played well in the paint with five points, seven rebounds and two blocks.
